We had a good turn out for the Together with Refugees action in Queens Square despite the rainy weather. We were raising awareness in the City Centre of the measures in the Nationality and Borders Bill (being considered in Parliament that day) that would undermine the right to seek asylum, and would criminalise those fleeing persecution and death. People were asked to fill in and send a postcard to their MP to help scrap the Bill and to build a “kinder, fairer and more effective” asylum system.
